This morning we presented a class for Escrow for one of our members here in ALTA, this is the email we shared with him a couple hours after the class,

Thanks for letting us put on the Zoom presentation FIRPTA for Escrow this morning.
Since the class, we've already had a PA Title Company that attended the class contact us regarding a FIRPTA transaction with a foreign Seller trying to bend the rules and avoid FIRPTA.
The class probably saved the Buyer and Title Company many many thousands in IRS penalties.
One Escrow in attendance took action right away about a transaction on her desk in that moment!!
Some sellers, not understanding the rules give false, erroneous or simply conflicting information to their real estate agents and Escrow/Title officers, know that you can count on us to help you avoid headaches and money in penalties.
