Arthur;
I have followed up with the Title company but there is not much feedback, the Realtor seems to be an experienced person in the field with many good reviews but I have not heard from him either, he was representing both, buyer and seller, similar lots in that specific area are listed for 3 times the sales price of this particular one, I asked other agents if they keep an ID, they all say they request an ID when they are engaged.
Of course there has been no closing, my fear is always getting in the way of a closing for a title agent but now my BIGGEST fear is to not discovering a potential fraudulent transaction be a part of a scam in a way. π₯

Hi everyone,
Any of you from Texas attending TLTA in San Antonio this coming week? .... Stop by our booth, I will be so glad to meet you ....
Also, I have to tell you, we were able to stop a fraudulent transaction today, I am curious thou, when I ask the real estate agent what kind of ID he received from the suppose seller he told me realtors are not required to ask for an ID, I was shocked! Is that true? I thought we all need to show an ID for a transaction of that nature... π€π€
I would like to hear from Real estate agents, do you keep a copy of the seller's ID?
