The landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision in the McGirt v. Oklahoma in 2020 affirmed the historic reservation boundaries of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation in eastern Oklahoma. The court held that the lack of any clear action or intent to diminish that reservation’s boundaries by Congress left them intact.
