  • 1.  What Postage Service Do You Use?

    Posted 07-30-2024 12:46

I searched the communities and couldn't find this topic. We are looking to change service providers and I'd love to get your input. Pitney Bowes is of course, the most popular; however, they are also very expensive and their customer service (last time I used them) was lacking.

Who do you use and are you happy with the service?

    Thanks in advance for sharing!

We recently switched from Pitney Bowes to Stamps.com. Our monthly service charge is less than $20.00 and it is very easy to use.

We also got rid of Pitney Bowes after using them for more than 20 years.  Too expensive and the customer service was atrocious.  I heard stamps.com is good but I decided to go "postal" and purchased a scale for weighing and I buy regular stamps online or I visit the post office in person.  It's actually a pleasure!

I have been using Stamps.com for last 7 years.....easy to use and updates automatically with USPS rate increases.

Scale also available to purchase that plugs into USB port on your computer and communicates automatically with the Stamps.com website to automatically calculate your postage.

Also, can print whole sheet of stamps at one time or a single stamp at at time.

Both Quadient (fka Neopost) and Pitney Bowes have gotten very expensive. I am stuck in a contract with Quadient until 2026.

If you want a physical meter still, I would recommend FP Mailing Solutions. When I talked to them, they were $60 a month for the meter vs. $100+ with Quadient.

If you want online, the options would be Stamps.com or PitneyBowes' PitneyShip.

You may also want to talk to your copier company - some of them are dealers for the meters. I also know that Troy Group (big MICR printer/ink maker) has partnered with Pitney and is offering postage meters now.

    Hope that helps!
