Thank you Marie, I very much agree with getting user input. In one of my offices, while switching production software I was outvoted, so we went with the option that the staff using it much more than myself wanted. I only learned to do that after making a previous unilateral decision that did not go as hoped... lesson learned.

Idaho also requires a title plant. In my career we went from manually posting the records to a tract book index; to then using Ultima Title Plant to finally switching to AlphaMax3 which is dsipro.com
I loved Ultima which I believe Property Sync is very similar to.
I am not a huge fan of AM3. Although it works fine, searched in a metes and bounds description can be cumbersome and base files that are showing are not easy to decipher what property or parcel they go with. Lot and Block searches are better.
My biggest suggestion is that if you do decide to change, have as many of the actual users look at them also. We are a large company and the decision when we switched was not made with input from the actual users.
I am sure you will get many suggestions on this board and I cannot wait to hear them also for future use.

For those of you who maintain your own title plant, separate from the county records (ie New Mexico requires this), what solution are you using, and do you like it? Have any of you made the big leap from one software solution to another? Have any of you successfully used non-title Content Management Systems (i.e. Box.com)?
I've seen plenty discussion on title/escrow production software (i.e. Softpro, Qualia, ClosingVue, etc), but could not find any forum discussion on software for the actual database of recorded documents. A brief internet search pulls up things like TitleRun.com, GetPropertySync.com, TitleScan.com (which we're currently using), and TitlePlantSoftware.com.
I have a title insurance office in Utah, where we do not maintain our own plant, then in 2023 I obtained another office in New Mexico and was introduced to a world where we search using our own independently maintained title plant, not the county records directly. We're not dissatisfied with our current title plant software, but at the same time I imagine there is a more updated solution out there.
