Cheryl, as an employer, I am more inclined to look at someone's culture and communication & technical skills & talents, in general, rather than whether, or what, experience they have in the industry. You cannot teach culture, and sometimes it is difficult to teach communication skills. However, if they have all of that, it is not hard to teach them about what we do and how to do it. I have had way more success with training people from scratch than hiring those with industry experience, because many with experience are not willing or able to adapt to doing things the way my office does them. Just my 2 cents.

Subject: Job Hunting Tips
I'm writing an article of tips and tricks to finding a job in the title industry.
Aside from the obvious, search Indeed, Monster, and LinkedIn Job postings. What tips, tricks and suggestions do you have for job hunters?
As an employer, how have you gone about filling positions? Where have you looked to find talent? Is there anything a potential employee can do that would set them apart from the crowd?
As a job hunter, where have you found your best jobs? Do you have any creative suggestions on places to look, people to talk to, things to do?
