  • 1.  Best Bank for Title Insurance Companies

Recently we were approached by LinkBank out of Camp Hill, PA....they indicated that they have the following features included, which seem to be great for a title insurance company:
    1) No wire fees for incoming and outgoing wires (current bank charges $15 incoming and $25 outgoing)
    2) Initiate wires online (current bank charges $30/month to use this feature)
    3) Wires can be sent up until 8PM EST (current bank stops at 3PM EST)

I have never heard of LinkBank and am hesitant to use a small, out-of-town bank, but I am very intrigued on:

    1) What banks is everyone else using?
    2) What does your bank charge for the features mentioned above?
    3) How happy are you with your relationship with your bank?

I've used LinkBank for about a year after similar "no cost" pitch.   Very happy with their personalized banking.  If there's an issue (i.e. my wire being returned due to misinformation entered, a bounced check) , my representative calls me immediately.  Link supplied me with a check deposit scanner, and everything has worked seamlessly.   One time, I knew I needed a cashier's check, discussed with my banker, and he personally dropped it off the day I needed it.   Couldn't be happier, and would be happy to answer any specific questions you may have (215-654-1771).

I've not heard of LinkBank, so I can't speak to their services.

I highly recommend Bank United. They have a dedicated title division that services only title companies. If you open your accounts via the title division, not a bank branch, they are able to offer you a flat monthly fee for your accounts. That fee is waived if your volume is high enough. No wire fees, no per check fees, no stop payment fees, etc. You also get first priority wires so no delays on funds. Because their staff work specifically with title agencies, they understand our business and our unique needs. They also have an integration with Qualia and will subsidize the Qualia daily reconciliation service fees. And they have an integration with Paymints.io for safe transaction funding.

If you'd like to speak to someone at Bank United, let me know and I'll make an introduction for you.

For New Jersey  Title Agents I recommend Peapack Gladstone Bank.
Its escrow account services are excellent, and its positive pay feature works well to protect agents.
