    Our office is having trouble submitting 1099s to the IRS.  This new fire program they have doesn't seem to work.   We cannot login under our company name nor individual name.   When we applied for the TCC number we went through the process of IDing the boss who has always signed off on the 1096 in the past.   We are old school and have always typed out the forms and submitted to the IRS.  This year we used our software AIM+ for compiling the 1099S for the taxpayer and planned to submit to the IRS through that portal but of course we hit that brick wall when it comes to the FIRE system.  We have tried to contact the IRS but the response we get is  - the lines are busy and to call back during normal business hours (to be put on hold is not an option).  We have mailed the taxpayers their 1099 but need help submitting to the IRS - we are at a loss of what to do.....any suggestions?
